Has anyone used Autofans Motorsport? - UPDATE

Hi all,

Has anyone used Autofans Motorsport based in the USA at all? I ordered a pair of Carbon Mirror covers on the 5th August and had an e-mail confirming the order on the 6th. Credit card was charged £120 and I've heard nothing since. I e-mailed them a week ago asking if they have been sent and have heard nothing.

Their address is 188 San Antonio Street, Suite 28
Austin, TX 78701, USA

Will e-mail them again today. I know orders from the USA can take a while especially with customs clearance in the UK which can take upto 10 days but its the fact the supplier has provided no tracking number or advice when the goods will arrive :x

Just a heads up if your thinking of using this company.

Tim.

Just a bit of an update for anyone ever considering using this company, my advice is don't.

After sending countless e-mails with no reply I have opened a case with PayPal who are contacting the vendor.

Hopefully I will get the monies back :x

Hmm shame

I don't really understand the company as going by the website they seem quite a large concern but looking on Bimmerforum it looks like other peeps have had problems with them.

The company is a little confusing as it states their address is in the USA but looks like its actually in the far east :| according to PayPal.

Having been bitten in a similar way,i now web search all foreign companies for feedback before using them.Hope you get your money back soon.

Thanks guys, wished I hadn't of bothered but quite fancied some carbon mirror caps but will leave it for now :(

Cheers, I did pay using PayPal on the vendors site hence contacting Paypal although I didnt realise you have 41 days or something to raise a dispute which I didn't know about until I visited the PayPal site yesterday. I ordered at the beginning of August but you can still make a claim.

Gone off the idea anayways, would really prefer replacement mirror caps than stick on covers.

i thought it was 45 days...... i always charge paypal transactions to my credit card, that way i have double the protection.... although i find with credit card, you can claim over a much longer period

i agree, stick on covers arent great
