Has anyone taken a Zhp gear knob apart ?

Hi

Just ordered a Zhp gear knob. The problem is its black and my interior is beige.

I've spoken to a car upholster who said they maybe able to replace the leather with beige to match.

Any advice would be great.

Personally I think a black gearknob will look fine with a beigeinterior. Probably even better than if it were changed to beige.

Changing it you risk a poor finish, and it potentially not looking as good as it was before. So my opinion would be to leave it as standard, or change your seats and door cards to black to match :wink:

I think if the gaiter is black it will be fine. A light colour will soon look dirty no matter how hard you try to keep your hands clean.

My knob is black with a red leather gaitor, I think it looks great and wouldn't change the knob colour to red even if I could

Thanks for the replies. I could replace the handbrake handle too, so it would match the black gear knob.
