Has anyone stripped the back of an Msport seat from the base

Per thread title, has anyone removed the seat backs from the base when refurbishing Msport seats?

Is it just a case of undoing two torx bolts on each side of the seat base an d lifting off?

I’m thinking I can referb to a higher standard with the seats in two halves.

Yeah- I did a write up I think it is on here still

Two T40 I think either side under the covers
Lift the back off and route the heated cabling

You can then take the leather off the backs fairly easily and swap over the foam backs

I’ve found that the seat backs will rest in a convenient position with a little care, after removing the T40’s - one each side. Certainly good enough for a light referb with the furniture clinic kit;
