Has any one tried LCD rear veiw mirrors ? For a 2006 e85 coupe ?

Probably asking about reverse camera that has build in display on to rear view mirror.

Hi yea sorry I'm new to the site so I was kind of just trying out how I post questions and stuff I wasn't expecting to get an answer just yet,
Yea marius it's the rear veiw mirrors you can get with the little rear veiw LCD screen for reversing or you can get smart mirrors that are almost like a tablet but I wasn't sure if anyone had ever tried it so thought I'd ask here cheers for any help anyone might have

Hi, might be more difficult than you think as the remote key sensor is incorporated into the oe mirror as far as I know :?

Ah yea I hadent thought of that your right that might be a bit more difficult than I thought I hoped it would be a removal and replace running in a few wires and what not, I was mostly thinking for the gps idea as aposed to reversing cam but if the sensor is there that might be difficult cheers mate I appricate the help that was something I hadn't considered!

Check out Technomoan on YouTube, he has tested lots. He found that most of the ones built in to the mirrors where built for left hand drive cars and the camera was on the wrong side. Adjusting it for the uk to get the correct angle meant that it mostly saw the rear view mirror mounting post.
