Hello all.
I was about to put the top down until I got the blinking light at the switch and the error message on the screen. I did a diagnostic check and I have an a A68C . I now have a blinking light at the switch and and both buttons to raise and lower the top are not working. I now drive around with the constant unsecured top chime. Is there a way to manually unlatch that bottom connector at the lower portion of the hardtop which connects to the top of the tonneau in between the roll bar panel and the rear trunk? Or what options could you provide to help me at least get the back of the hardtop portion raised so I can remove the roof panels and change the wiring / sensors ?
Thank you.

The code is for a broken or shorted wiring of the hall sensor in the rear roof shell.

Not the first posted here. Had a look at the search function already?

No manual closing or opening wa intended by BMW. The damaged wires can't be seen without dismantling the roof.

If it's not latched, that's good news.
Search forum to open boot then dump the hydraulic pressure then manually lift rear window over roof to access wires.

Then do my mod so in future you can unlatch boot in any roof position.
