Decided to fit the hardtop as the weather has gone a bit rubbish ,still love the lines of the car with it fitted but will miss open top motoring for a few months

Don't know where you are but it glorious sunshine in Worcestershire and is set to continue into next week , hard top looks nice though

Fall cruising topless is the way to go !
Heated seats or AC ..
Comfort almost all year round...
Unless you just want to show off your hard top ...
:fuelfire:

Bumpy

Looks lovely... But I have to say, it has rained on every hoon I've been on in Scotland and roofs (fabric) only go up if it gets properly heavy. And it's Scotland, so it ain't warm all the time... Prepare for some flak :D

Oh, and I keep a jersey (jacket in winter), a wooly hat and gloves in my boot for when it's chilly. I don't have a hard top, but if I did the weather would need to be a lot colder and wetter before I put it on.

the problem is storage ,I live in a 2 bed apartment and its been in the spare bedroom since may and her indoors has had enough and wont stop moaning about it .

Perhaps you should consider moving her outdoors

Feel your pain though... I'd have nowhere to store one either.

Roof looks great but tomorrow is going to be lovely and sunny.I think you've put it on too early especially as there is still plenty of nice weather to come.Get it off put it in the spare room and shut the door. :)

I had my hardtop on for 3 weeks in the summer after collecting it - weather was rubbish! Usually on Nov/Dec to Feb/Mar, fortunately there's a nice space at the back of our bike storage room to keep it in :).

Drove back from station with roof off this evening at about 8:00pm. Not so warm - about 14c - but cosy with heater up and heated seats on. :driving:

I can understand why owners would use a hard top but I've always enjoyed the roof down through winter - even when snowing! Nothing like the feeling of having snow flakes billowing about the cockpit - amazing. :D

Get a good hat and scarf or a coat with a good collar, I prefer to wear leather gloves and with the heater on and heated seats enjoy that open top experience even during bad weather!

Sell the hard top save the money for a new hood motor or spoil your partner and enjoy hard core open top Zedding!

:driving:

Actually, this is a great idea - instantaneous transformation of a major moan into an irrefutable win. It's almost the right time to sell to get top £, and in the SE you really don't need it - just get a half cover to protect the roof and motor. You could pretty much get a really nice weekend away for two for hard top money

Worth saying, Paul was the only one of us to not put his roof up at all (I think) when we went to Skye. Though given he and his partner used to be hardcore bikers, they're used to getting a bit wet :D

I think i need a better place to store the hardtop, i am reluctant to sell it :? :?

interested to know how much its worth ? ??

Worth £650-£700 in summer, £150-200 more in winter if you're lucky.

Liar. I'm in Essex and it's been lovely.

Had my hardtop on for a couple of months now as the garage is currently a store for building supplies.
