hardtop adjustment

Reading articles on here I find people talking about adjusting hardtops. How is this done and for what reasons?

There is a guide - IIRC cj10jeeper has the pdf (try a pm?)- that shows how to adjust so its fits cleanly at the front and rear. Otherwise you could end up with wind noise and marking around where the edge touches.
