Hard top repair

Hi guys,

Had a little nick in the soft top right at the front on a corner (ie where it meets the a pilliar), probably where the previous owner bumped or dropped it. While the roof has been in the bag for the winter it seems to have got worse and a 1 inch piece of the fibreglass around the size and shape of a match is hanging by a thread. What's the best way to glue it back? Some sort of fibreglass repair or will normal glue do the job?

Cheers

Ideally a GRP resin and hardener (to cure it) but if you don't know what you're doing with that then either get a quote from a body shop or try a glue. Araldite 2 part would probably be good but use it sparingly!

Don't even mess with it. Take it to a bodyshop and have them repair the damage and spray in the area. Even if you manage to bond a piece back in it will look crap.

+ 1,

I'd get it done professionally if its hanging by a thread.

Cant be too much to get a local repair and smart paint touchup.

Yes plus you risk water ingress/further cracking come the winter months if you don't get the pieces bonded together properly.
