Halogen to HID

sorry to thread jack, just been on Hid direct (cheaper on their site than ebay) and it offers both the H1 & H7 as options for the Z4

(i havent picked my car up yet so dont know what bulbs are in it, just want to get all my mods ready and waiting before i pick it up :)
 
Hi guys just recently brought my z4 a week ago so thought id join the forum good bit of knowledege disscusion on here!

I've just bought a hid kit from hidxeononconverstions.co.uk
Guy was helpful £49.99 ill try and fit them tomorrow and try and upload some photos
I have a lux meter as I'm an electrician so can test the different amount of light given off between halogen and hid
 
So I tried to install the plug and play hid kit but when removing the retainer clip realised that it won't fit over the hid lamp so I've ordered an adaptor, replaced the existing halogen lamp which is now yellow orange and I have a light symbol up on the dash

So bad luck so far..

cut the clip with the pliers and slide over to the hid bulb :wink:
