Halo headlights

Just been back to the detailer this morning who polished up my headlights, however there's a fair amount of haze on the inside which is giving them an ever so slight cloudy look in places, minor, but I have minor OCD about this stuff.

I know there are halo aftermarket headlight kits available for a decent price, however, the M has an awesome blue tinge to the light and I suspect the OEM headlights are actually pretty awesome.

Would or has anyone considered replacing the headlights in the M for aftermarket? Or would it be essentially replacing something awesome with something average?

Personally not a fan of aftermarket stuff unless it makes your car look Oem and younger. For example hella do later style lights for an e39 5 series. Not sure if ther would be something similar for our cars.

Is the haze over the glass or internal plastics? Minor ocd hey? I understand your symptoms the Dr is in session 8)

I'll be interested to see what you find as Im in the same boat.
I quite like the look of the 2xcite units but they don't come in Xenon

Here's the haze. I'm not even sure I like the now ageing look of the dimpled metal effect around the inside of the unit, I'm a fan of the crystal clear mirror/chrome lamps you get on the new gen BMWs.

On this pic it looks pretty clear, the haze isn't obvious, but still I don't know how I feel about that matt silver dimpled surface on the inside.

I love the clear sharper modern look of something like this:
