Had my A5 remapped yesterday

My company A5 2.0 TDI was the 143BHP model and coming from the Alpina D3BT was lacking somewhat, anyway my FD asked me on Tuesday if I'd like the A5 remapping so I said yes please :D

I took it to Performance Torque in Wombourne, WV5 8AP if anyone wants to look them up, it's made quite a difference, definitely smoother with more torque in 3rd and 4th, I haven't really pressed on as of yet but it feels much better, the remap has taken it to 185BHP and torque has gone up but can't remember from what and to :oops:

They had a magazine article in the reception promoting the company in a BMW magazine and Will, the technician had a Z4MC, now has an R8, which he remapped, he said it didn't do too much with regard to BHP but throttle response was improved and so was torque.

He asked me to email him in a few days to let him know if I was happy with the A5 so will ask him for figures for the ///M out of curiosity.

Anyway not a bad £316 me thinks :thumbsup:
 
TDi's are great to remap - wouldn't say a huge difference 0-60, though the pull from 50-big three figures is a massive difference.

My old AUDI suffered from understeer, though my 2011 model is a colossal improvement on turn-in. £ 4 £ beemers are a far more involved drivers car, travel long distances in an AUDI & because they require far less effort to drive, u arrive more refreshed, just lucky to have the best of both worlds I guess

I didn't my company did :P

It's a nice car actually even with understeer, although it's not a car for pressing on in tbh, that's what the ///M's for :driving:
 
Yes, BUT, it goes dagga dagga dagga dagga everytime you start it up.Horrible things....................................... :D
