So it's coming up to 4 years since I purchased my Z4. Previous longest ownership of a car by me was 21 months, so that tells you everything about how much I love the Zed!

Anyway, the previous owner had the alloys powdercoated satin black, which I originally liked. However. Time had taken it's toll on them and they started to look rough. I finally got around to getting them refurbished a light shadow chrome colour with dark barrels and could not be happier with the outcome.

Here's how they were:

I used a photo of JaxZ4's old Z4 wheels as reference for the refurbisher, and he done a fantastic job of matching them. Can't recommend Paint It UK highly enough for anyone in the South East area!

Anyway, here's a few photo's. I have ordered new style genuine centre caps and some Gtechniq C5 to finish them off, so they won't be fitted until get those.

They look mint.

Nice touch with the black inners also, it'll help them look cleaner for longer.

They look great ben the shadow chrome makes them look 100% better than the black  ,
Im going to stick mine back on for a while

What is the going rate for a decent refurb like this and what did the refurb consist of if you don't mind me asking?

Total cost was £285.

They remove the tyres, then chemically remove all previous coatings, then weld any kerbing, no filler used here! Then they sandblast them and then spray/powdercoat them. Finally they re-fit the tyres and balance the wheels.

Thx for the reply Ben.

Now that's cheap for the amount of work involved and that final finish.

It's a pity I'm up in Nott's.

How many coats of Chrome did they put on the face of yours ben? as they look a little bit more silvery than mine.

 in fairness I loved the black wheels until I got the red roof and then they just looked out of place. Much better now. Can't wait to fit them, but the postman has decided he doesn't want to deliver the centre caps and C5 today. Gutted.
