I recently had a new windscreen which was fitted by the AA and im not 100% sure its fitted correctly. Here are some picture of the mirror which seems to be lower then before because i can see cable which i don't remember. I would be glad if someone could confirm this by checking their mirror for me.

The AA man was adamant it was normal and that my old screen was the same. I thought the AA where going to be Better the auto glass but that seems not to be the case
The picture below show the crack and the position of my old mirror but because of the light i can't really see any cables.

most definitely wrong

put in a complaint to manager first thing tomorrow morning. If they aren't helpful, put it in writing and take it a dealer for an independent assessment and if they charge you for it send it to AA.

Hope you get this sorted easily

Totally agree with DrNick
Definitely wrong .
BMW do not leave wires hanging out when they build £30-40 K cars

Tell AA to fix or you will send them the bill from your Dealer for sorting

Thanks for the quick reply, phone the AA up and the are coming out again to refit the screen next saturday, they said they need to let the glue set 7 days before removing it. Seemed very helpful over the phone so fingers cross it will get sorted. Cars going in of a service next saturday morning so will get BMW to confim this.

Hi mate just shown this to my next door neighbour.
He works for the AA fitting windscreens.
A quote of what he said,

"They are not telling you the truth there mate.
They just don't want to remove the screen with the glue unset.
Get on the phone and go bananas mate. Ask for a remuneration for your costs and you will get your excess back"

Thanks for everyones help. I left it for them to come at the weekend as it suited me. On saturday someone came out to refit the screen. After taking a closer look he relises the screen is in fact not the correct screen for the car, says its ment to be for the coupe. I know they have different mirrors but can't imagine they'd be that different. Any way a new screen was ordered and fitted the following day and all is well :D

It has all the same markings and BMW stamp on the glass and the old one didn't so it looks like they fitted a genuine part to me.

different wind screens???????????? i did not realise that either, i assumed the cars were identical except the obvious rear

Useful bit of information... Had no idea they had different windscreens
