Really makes it hard to believe any car forsale ads that are on gumtree when constantly you see stupid ones like this.

a lot of dodgy as hell listings in London area, I report each I see as someones bound to fall for them.

Some arse had set up a false escrow company.
It looked kosher enough until you did some research.

Ther are some horrid people out there.

Yep ... Scam artist. When I was looking there was a coupe on with full pics , visible reg, low price ( not ridiculously low like this but kept believable as a bargain), sounded too good to be true. Got in contact and eventually turned out he was "a contractor now living in Ireland and on payment would deliver the car". I typed his email address into Google and it had a report against it for a women doing as he asked and subsequently lost a fee grand. Seriously though you have to be pretty naive to pay and await delivery. All the same it really pissed me off as I really had my hopes up about the car :-( Gumtree need to sort it out!
