I’ve heard back from the Audi Exclusive team in Germany and I finally know what colour my car is…

It’s was a popular colour, but not on Audi’s… in fact I may have the only MK2 TTS roadster in this colour in the uk.

I’ve no idea how much this cost the original owner (I’m the 3rd), but you could specify any colour you wanted apparently, and in 2012 they specified a colour from the 1990’s :rofl:

This photo shows the hue, but not the Pearl finish…. The clue is in the purple undertone to the blue :wink:

Can you guess what it is :?

EDIT - so we have winners, good retro colour spotting.

I wonder if this might be the only Audi TTS roadster in the UK in Ford Imperial blue, and if the person who ordered the car had a thing for 90’s fords?

I do love it, but I can’t decide if it’s cool to have it in a ‘fast Ford’ colour or a bit odd, it’s a common colour… but not on this car. To say I was very surprised by the email from Audi is an understatement :rofl:

[ref]True-Blue[/ref], is it Ford Imperial Blue? I'll confess I thought it might be a Ford blue but had to do some Googling to check what it was called.
 
I can’t remember the colour but is it Escort Cossie blue?

EDIT, just seen ☝🏻I think that’s the colour I’m thinking too

Ford Imperial Blue, also known as Racing Blue Mica :rofl:

Apparently a few different shades, this Cossie looks slightly less purple, but it could be the photo :thumbsup:
