I think I am the first to drive from Scottsdale Arizona (one home) to my other home in Puerto Vallarta. The trip was wonderful and done over three days. I didn't rush the trip and enjoyed the roads which were mostly excellent.
First day was Scottsdale to Guyamus. On the ocean and a perfect 85 degrees.
Second day was to Mazatlan. Much more humid and the waves were huge.
Third day to Vallarta.

1200 miles later.

How do you handle all the pestering from the time share salesman? I've been there a couple of times and it drives me nuts...nice place but can't stand everyone trying to squeeze you for a buck all the time.

Sorry, no hard feelings but I may have told you where to go the last time I was there :P

I have a place in Chandler now so don't go to Mexico anymore. I'll PM you next time I'm down south (September) and see if you're up for a spin somewhere. I'm going on a four day trip in late Sept with the Arizona club....to Silver City and elsewhere, might be a bit of an old folks run but what the hell, its four days of cruising corners.

I did that too.....ended up walking away from the deposit. The salesman got paid so he was happy . Live and learn, don't buy expensive stuff when you're on medication...

send me a pm when you are in Chandler

btw, I manage a sales line and I know some of my salespeople can be obnoxious.

Wiil do, BTW what do you do for insurance when you go south ?

( I was po'd at the street peddlers more than the real salesmen, they were all pretty good.)

insurance is through U.S. company for the value of the vehicle. Get this, for a year, its $550. Catch is you also have to have U.S. insurance which adds another $300 per year. Still, very reasonable.
