wow.... i LOVE this.... 911 R owners will feel some butt hurt however.. lol.

i really enjoyed this interview in andreas i love this guys passion which is so clear to hear and see, most interesting this new engine like some of our old ass s54s goes back to total solid valve gear setup, its REALLY interesting to hear how the GT3 executes this and just how special this type of valve gear is on ur average road car, whats even more impressive they've somehow developed it further so it will never need the lash checking, how id love to know but.... awesome to hear and really awesome to be able to relate it back to our little s54.

check it out... very cool stuff.

It's quite a technical achievement that - I wait to hear how it drives first though. Call me old-fashioned though but I'd still take a 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 over anything newer though!

Also a general note; I'm really enjoying the drivetribe thing - daily dose of petrolhead news all in one place - perfect for short breaks during work haha!

I would murder for a 911R but this looks and sounds epic. The 911 is the epitome of motoring evolution imo. It's a shame a GT3 will shoot up to $300k by the time it hits the ground over here :(

not sure which is cooler, the GT3, R or this maddness from RUF

Awesome footage of a GT3 going full chat with no commentary, no interuptions for the best part of 10 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4DlmmOz2e4

I think some one posted this the other day.

Great looking 911. They so suit the plain lights. Such a contrat to the new McClaren.

Can't wait to hear it - was really expecting just a minor evolution of the last one but the engine sounds mega! Does anybody know what they've done to keep the valve clearances in spec for the lifetime of the car? Some kind of non-hydraulic self adjustment?

Being a Porsche 4.0 it will be on its second engine before they need adjusting ;)
