Gruppe M replacement filter - i'm stuck

Hi Guys,

Had a look at the filter in my Gruppe M intake yesterday and it was completely blocked up with crud.

I guess it is a K&N filter and has code 04029 on the reverse. This being said, I can't find a replacement online- can any of you point me in the right direction?

I think it's a custom K&N filter for Gruppe-M, and don't think they're available off the shelf.

Anyhow, you're not supposed to replace it, you're supposed to clean/oil it at least every 25,000-50,000 miles, depending on local conditions.

Cleaning kit is about £14 (strangely it was £12 when I bought it last year).

Cleaning should take care of it, but if you find you need a new filter, you can get them from here. With the current exchange rate, even with shipping, etc., it will be cheaper than buying locally. I bought my Gruppe-M intake from them. Excellent service. They shipped very quickly directly from Gruppe in Japan. This place is in Australia, so prices are in AUD. You can use an online currency exchange to get the cost. Shipping will be in AUD, as well. It's £122 with the current exchange rate. No affiliation with the company other than satisfied customer.

Give it a good clean using a K&N filter cleaning kit (cleaner and filter oil), it will come out spotless like new. I had not done mine in well over 20000km (forgot that it was a serviceable part) and it was while I was changing the cigar and mould stinking cabin filter that I thought hummm is worth doing. it was black, full of stuff like heavy dust, insects etc; came out pink!

its a 30 mins job.
