A few times I've seen photo's of these 'carbon' intakes, I've always wondered why the carbon structure doesn't show on the inside - especially on the Gruppe-M.
A couple of pictures for reference...
Gruppe-M intake:
Carbon fibre tubing:
So why does one have the carbon structure throughout, and the other doesn't? Is this down to the fact that carbon is only an overlay over an existing, cheap fibre-glass shell, or is there a better explanation?
After all, a full carbon one at £1000 would have less 'profit' in it than a fibreglass overlaid one
