Group buy idea for lock covers

Hi,

I really dont like the obvious silver locks, they really stand out on dark colours. In addition I never use those locks and probably never will (passenger door and boot).

So I was thinking about getting some laminated stickers to put over the locks.

My thinking is that if you could buy a strip of say 20, if you did need to use the lock you could peel it off and use a new one afterwards.

These could be printed in a close match colour wise at an economical cost.

I am sure if we bough a couple of hundred it would cost no more than a couple of dozen.

I did see a post about some covers but they were £50 plus and probably not worth it when a £1 sticker could do the job.

What does everyone think ?

Yea I've seen those before

When I get the time after work has calmed down I'm gonna make my own covers

My car doesn't have a lock on the passenger door. Is this not standard?

I cant find anywhere in the UK that distributes these so I'm planning on making my own using plastic screw head covers, painted with a touch up pen from BMW.

You'd think, but no. TBH, I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, never had a reason to use it, so I guess this cost cutting measure sort of makes sense. I'd rather give up the extra lock than some of the other cheap things they've done.

Spray them with a rattle can the finish will be better

I was gonna cut my own with a hole saw but what you suggest would be a better option
