There is a dead end road on your left as you leave the docks. It goes no where but winds up the side of the cliffs and is blocked the other end. If it's empty or quiet that is great for a hoon as you know nothing is coming the other way. It's called Marina Drive or something like that mate.

Except the odd sheep! Seriously tho found marina drive and it is good but like u say rockfall means it's now closed after a length. It's absolutely fantastic at night tho as it's pitch black and the horizon is full of stars, plane & boat lights and when I was there an impressive lightening storm over the mainland.

To be fair most of the roads are fantastic with sweeping bends switchbacks undulations you just have to be prepared for a bumpy ride at times. Also absent the odd local nearly everyone sees u in the mirrors and moves out the way. They seem to live and breathe motor sport over here and are only too happy to move over and let u crack on.
