Grom Bluetooth Installation & Cable Routing

I've picked up a Grom BT3 and DSP adaptor for my e85 zed (wtih DSP amp and CD changer). From what I understand, all that is needed is the removal of the rear vertical carpet, and connections can be made from the existing CD changer. However, I cannot find answers to the following:

1. Which wire do you crimp onto to get your 12v switched feed for the DSP converter? And likewise any particular bolt for the ground?
2. Where is best to tuck the BT3 and DSP adaptor? Next to the amp in the boot or behind the CD changer?
3. Where should you mount the microphone for bluetooth calls and what routing through the car is best?

Based on my GROM installation in my E86
all that is needed is the removal of the rear vertical carpet - yes, if you have the BMW-T adapter cable. At least on the E86 quite a lot of boot trim panels come out before the vertical carpet can come out. Hopefully the E85 is easier.
1. Which wire do you crimp onto to get your 12v switched feed for the DSP converter? And likewise any particular bolt for the ground? - sorry, I don't have DSP.
2. Where is best to tuck the BT3 and DSP adaptor? Next to the amp in the boot or behind the CD changer? - Take the CD changer out, it is dead weight once the GROM has taken over it's wiring. Then you have space for the Grom.
3. Where should you mount the microphone for bluetooth calls and what routing through the car is best? Mine is tucked just under/next to the rearview mirror, with the wiring running over the passenger door. In the E85 you may be better putting the microphone low and in the middle (in front of the gearstick somewhere) to try to avoid it picking up too much wind noise with the roof down.

Thanks for that NickDE. Isn't the CD player a massive ball-ache to remove? Having to remove most of the centre trim panels?

If you look in the discount code section for the GROM, you’ll find loads of pics of when I did mine

All done, thanks for the advice chaps. Even found the perfect spot for the mic - within the reading light cluster :o!
