Grinding Issues

When backing out the Zed from my garage, when I come to a stop to shift it into neutral, you can hear what sounds like the brakes grinding. I always thought this was because its cold and the driveway is an incline. However...today while moving at slow speeds (2-3mph) and brakin you can hear the same grinding.

Some research I did suggested that the transmission (automatic) may be the culprit.

Any thoughts on this?

The brakes are "sport composite brakes" from NAPA. I don't think the transmission fluid has ever been changed.

ohh...its a 2003 3.0i with sport and performance pakages and automatic tranny
 
Hopefully it's not the pads, as they where changed about November 2009. *fingers crossed! Hahaha*

I'll see if I can get a video together of the noise.
