Well, I've been a member for a while as I researched this car ... after quite some time looking I finally found the car I had been waiting for ... An 2011 E89 3.0i Roadster MSport in Alpine white, with Kansas red leather interior, iDrive, 19 inch alloys, etc. - 34k on the clock. The only thing it doesn't have is heated seats ...I am sure I will one day rectify that! :)

I'm still learning about bits and pieces of the car and spent the long weekend cleaning and getting the car just my way :)

I am thinking the first thing I need to do - at some point - is replace the run flat tyres, I'm rather scared of getting cracks in the alloys! (326M)

Cheers

Welcome, if replacing tyres you may want to go up a size on the profile ,it will give a little more side wall cushioning and fill the arches better, if Mr Wilks comes along he'll be able to give specifics

Hi and welcome - good to see some photos as I do like red leather seats!

I like the 3 litre N52 engine too - I hope you have been enjoying yours! :driving:

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try and get some more pictures once I have finished fettling and cleaning. Discovering new things about the car every day!

Turns out I have the 10 speaker setup with DSP etc. - didn't know it was an option when I bought it - so that was a pleasant surprise :)

Cheers

It's a great feeling getting an extra treat you didn't expect, like those rare occasions when one finger of the kitkat is solid chocolate :)

Today I took each wheel off in turn, cleaned them thoroughly - inside and out - and looked for cracks - relieved to say I couldn’t see any. Some kerbing but I guess it’s to be expected. I also fitted new wheel bolts as the ones there were quite rusty ... I guess this counts as my first mod :)

I also discovered that the centre “BMW” inserts - which appeared to be delaminating - we’re actually still covered in a thin film of plastic - which pulled off and restored the centres to pristine

PS: I also got an unexpected compliment .... heard the 10 year old boy neighbour, speaking to his friend referring to me as “the man with the sick BMW” ... made my day!!! :D 8)

I did thanks - and I was tempted - but I’ll have to leave it a bit as I think I have the expense of new tires ahead of me first.

Thanks though.
