Greetings from Somerset - Update : Now a Z4MR Owner

Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Not yet an owner but starting to look for a Z4M roadster as my next car after 12 years with my Honda S2000. Currently only driven one car at a dealer which even the dealer said was priced high. I’m after something to use daily so mid-range mileage and price. I will post in the For Sale section too.

Cheers

James

Hello and welcome

There are good tips on some of the buyers guides on here... Valve clearances in the service history, running in service etc.

Enjoy the searching!

Hello and welcome from another Somerset Zed owner (not an M though, unfortunately). Where in this fine county do you call home?

Good luck with the search. :)

Hi to some local Somerset folk. I’m in Wraxall about 5 miles south of Shepton Mallet on the A37 and work in Wells so some nice driving roads and little in the way of traffic jams.

Cheers All.

Bodyboarder - yes Z4M very different to the S2000. I did test drive a Boxster 3.4 too which is more similar in handling feel to the S2000 very precise go-kart handling precision. The Z4M feels more of a handful and the engine squats the rear end under power. But I feel the need to have that engine in my life for a while :D

Thanks again for the hello's and nice to know there's plenty of people around me.

Well I've gone and done it and got myself a Z4M Roadster :D

I've posted in the For Sale / Wanted section more details, but basics are Black with tan hood ( :o ) and champagne leather with black carbon panels. Not a lot of options, but low miles and full BMW S/H.

Have to say the performance is very impressive and very effortless. Obviously not pushing it too much as still acclimatising to it. Was worth going 170 miles to go and buy it.

Car looks like it could do with a thorough cleaning in some of the nooks and crannies and perhaps a bit of polishing to lose some of the swirls and the odd fine scratch, but generally the car looks great and more importantly goes great.

Here's to many happy miles ahead.....

Great news OP.

Looking forward to some photos - when you can bring yourself to stop driving it! :)

Okay hoping these pictures work. Forgot to take some with the controversial tan hood up, but it was such a nice day that hood stayed down in the car park. Also need to take pictures of the inside
