I have a march 05 Z4 R. (non Nav)

Does anyone know if there is a preinstalled GPS anntenna? when I was putting in the Ipod addapter I saw an antenna Lead and a possible place to put it into (bolted onto the trunk wall). I have a bluetooth phone with garmin software on it was about to hard wire a Bluetooth GPS antenna when I saw the possible hookup.

Would apreciate any help on this matter.

Not preinstalled unless you have bluetooth phone kit installed or in the case of the US I think you have a sticker in the trunk that tells you.

The factory location of the GPS antennae is bolted to the top RHS of the frame that holds the Sat nav/CD changer units, between the seats. I know as I fitted one into the OEM bolt holes last weekend.

As an alternative if you lift the lower edge of the carper on the rear bulkhead behind the seats you'll see a central access hole for electics to the cdchanger, sat nav, etc.. You can pop the antenna through and fix it down with double sided tape.

I do have the blue tooth phone kit but I don't have satnav installed. I assume that the wireing harness is still there but not usefull becuse form what you are saying it does not sound like the antenna is bluetooth capable.

I am interested in alternative location you mentioned. can you describe a little better where this central hole is and what color are the wires for power since I'd have to splice into them.
