Yes please do

never thought about it. Food for thought. i would stop and put it up. By the time a copper comes along i should be on my way already unless they are following me.

A friend of mine pulled over on the M1 as he felt very ill and threw-up. The police said it was not an emergency and booked him. He said that if it ever happens again, he will be sure to pop the bonnet first and say the car lost power. We've all seen those traffic cop programs on the television - people get their car confiscated for having an expired license - but how many people knew their replacement photo-card license expired after 10 years (about now for those first issued), when the original license lasted until you are 70 years old. Go on check your license now  and save being prosecuted for no license and therefor no insurance. :D I know it is not the police's fault, they don't make the stupid rules. OK, I realize that anyone who first passed their test in the last 10 years knew about this, but us older guys were never told and life is too short to read the small print of the replacement license :headbang:

And let's not forget reduced speed limits on local roads, easy to miss and get caught.

OK, rant over, sorry.

If I see guys on the hard shoulder taking a leak, and as a biker I reguarly stop under motorway bridges to put my waterproofs on if it starts raining, so I am sure you can pull over to put your roof up, anyway whats the worst a coppers going to do if he stops to see what you are doing, get wet :D
