Of all the car events I’ve ever been to, this IMO, has been the very best in terms of variety, friendliness & closeness to petrolhead heaven.... you can often look inside many of the exotic historic cars that are normally held within a security compound.
I’ve contacted the organisers asking what they may be willing to do this year for some Z car enthusiasts on our forum & FB - made it wider than just Z4’s given the 2012 Zedfest at Silverstone was huge - requesting they consider:
- reserving one dedicated area where we could all park our cars together (allowing us all to easily meet, have a natter & maybe a picnic for lunch)
- either for the Saturday or Sunday (11 or 12th July), am waiting to hear back
- offer an entrance concession or discount if originated via the Forum or FB groups (it’s not a cheap event, but you easily get what you pay for). All bookings/money would be handled by their website & assume if they were agreeable would provide a promo code plus details of your reg confirming was a Z car during booking
- an offer to select a few of our cars for one of their grandstand parades
So, if you’ve not been before, suggest you speak to someone who has... they’ll explain why it’s not just another car show - it’s a combination of the gorgeous location, the hill climb, the side events, rally stage, the manufacturer stands..... & a whole lot more.
Please bookmark this thread if you are interested, as I’ll be following up with them early 2020... pic below of 2017
