Good place to splice ignition circuit?

I'm contemplating fitting a laser diffuser/jammer but need some advice on a good spot to splice into the 12v ignition circuit for power. I'm going to be running a wire through the firewall and the grommet on the passenger side behind the glove box, is there something suitable in that area?

Will of course upload pictures of the finished install.

Slot one and two in the fuse board are unswitched and switched spare slots. Can't remeber which is which though! Sorry. It's easy enough to test them.

I ran my amp from this one by using a modified cable connector which slotted into the live side of the board. Easy peasy and totally reversible.

The last 5 slots are also empty and are switched. I used an add-a-fuse and put all of my remote-turn-on devices to that as well.
