Good Paint Shop In West Yorkshire

Hello,

I'm thinking about getting my bonnet and front bumper sprayed to get rid of the stone chips. However, having no experience of this, I'm worried that I'm going to end up with a slightly different colour bonnet to the rest off the car. The colour is Montego Blue, so I hope that the colour won't really have faded over the years. The chips aren't really that bad, and perhaps most would not be bothered, but I would just like to get rid of them as the rest of the car is pretty much mint, if there is any doubt about getting a good match I won't get the job done.

So I'm wondering does anyone have experience of a good paint shop somewhere around Halifax, Leeds or Huddersfield, or is the consensus that it is safer to stick to approved BMW paint shops, pay the premium but have peace of mind that I will get a good match and presumably a a finish that will last (until the next stone hits it)?

Finally has anyone got a rough idea of what kind of price I should budget for to get both the bonnet and bumper resprayed either from an independent or a approved BMW paint shop?

Any advice or comments gratefully received.

I've always used BMW Huddersfield for any paint work and I've always been happy with the job.

If you want to stay away from the main dealers then Impact body shop in Brighouse gets good reviews (never used them myself) and I've also heard good stuff about Star Garage in Copley.

I have spoken to Huddersfield BMW in the past and they said their body shop was in Wakefield, (not very convenient)! I live just a couple of miles from Brighouse though so I will give Impact a call and see what they say, I had never heard of Impact before, so I appreciate the heads up!

Huddersfied BMW have their own spray booth, I've been in it.

Think it's Audi and VW that uses someone else.

Strange they sent me to Wakefield in the past, they must have not liked the look of me, or perhaps they knew how fussy I would be!

Just had a quote locally (Manchester) for £250 for the front bumper but looking at it now I think it would be wise to get the bonnet done.
