Need some double sided sticky strips to refix a plastic strip on our Fiesta - couldn't be arsed to go to Halfords so ordered a pack of ten strips from Amazon ( good reviews ) - Total Cost inc postage 69p :o :o :o :o :o

A first class stamp costs 62p !

I admit to using Ebay, etc a lot as it's convenient but it's also killing the small retailer......as said, literally everything can be bought and then delivered from the sofa.....easy after a days work and also means I don't "squander" what free time I have.

While I agree I needed some number plates a while back. Asked the local shop how much they would be - expecting a quote of about £15, if they threw in drilling the front to match the holder I'd have taken them up. The conversation went like this:
"Hello, I'd like a pair of number plates please."
"£15 each or £25 the pair."
"Will you fit them for that?"
"No."
"Good day."

£7 from eBay. They don't all help themselves!
