No disrespect to Patriot66 but those 15 quid Halford jobbies can be had on Aliexpress for buttons! The mark-up by some EU retailers is just absolutely outrageous imo.

I have some 13SMD bulbs in mine atm. I just ordered some new ones from aliexpress for just over 6 Euros shipped.
Might take a little bit longer to arrive from Covid Central but if you're not desperate then the wait might be worth it.

Those shown above in my pics are now 4 years old and still going strong. 4 Euros from Aliexpress.

I know, but I've had cheap LEDs from Ebay/internet in the past and they don't last 5 minutes. These have been in at least 2 years without fault. I don't usually do Halfords but it's 5 minutes from my work, I have a receipt in my wallet and if/when they play up I'll be taking them back. 'You pays your money and you makes your choice'

Halfords are pretty expensive. But it’s the convenience of some of their range... the advanced tools have lifetime warranty... well so long as the company is still around. But bulbs have some good guarantees too:

Always have these guys in my favs, always used them for my LEDS, very helpful and if you are struggling with what you need they are always available on the phone or by email to sort any issues you have.

Never had a bulb failure or warning lights with the products they provide.

The length is important as too long and they won't bounce light against the reflector efficiently!

Can't remember the brand. I replaced all the bulbs at once with new Halogens and LED sidelights recommended by someone at a mod shop in Buckinghamshire who talked a good game and specifially referenced E85/86 headlight units and reflectors but they were barely any different to stock. In fact the only difference was them looking much cooler. The LED main beam dip beam and above sidelights were all bought on a punt via eBay but they did make a noticeable difference. They are still very cool on the Kelvin scale but they're not full on chav blue!

I got the Lightec ones from E-bay over the weekend. They are very bright and look great. I have tried dozens of different ones since owning car and they either throw up error message or start flickering within weeks. Fingers crossed for these.
