Good cleaning brush?

Mornin all,

Need some help, found one in the US (at the bottom), but looking for something a ittle closer to home (UK) - to clean the roof on my roadster - for its age its in very good nick, but its starting to go green on the edges from sitting under a tree in its early life it seems :(

Anyone have any suggestions on a good brush to use to clear this off without causing damage?

I usually use an old Dyson to clean the roof (works wonders on cat hair - little buggers) but that won't suck up the green algae and stuff (Im gonna sue that Dyson bloke - it must be due to loss of suction :P )

Can't recommend a specific brush but I do use a very soft nylon one with frayed ends. Never 'scrubbed' the roof and just use the Raggtop 2 part cleaner and treatment.

When I got mine it had the green algae so I used a soft toothbrush on it just along the green line with the Ragtopp cleaner and it came off easily. When the roof is down clean the underside of the rear rubber seal - bet it's covered in slime.
 
yup its covered in green stuff under the line - is there a recommended location from getting Ragtopp? Ill be honest, I have had it two years and its a good time to get it cleaned - especially before the winter freeze.

I bought some AutoGlym I think it was called from Halfords. It came with 2 spray bottles and a hard piece of foam to clean it with. (in like a cheap boxset)

One bottle had a very good cleaning agent and the other conditioned it afterwards.

I'm delighted with the result as my roof looked knackered before hand, and now looks great. Cost £20.

I got a good brush from Halfords and as Jeeps, soft nylon bristles with frayed ends. I only use it for the soft top to avoid any potential contamination. About £10 I think.

The foam piece you get with the AG kit is great for cleaning the roof but i have given up with the kit it only lasts two months just bought some Renovo waiting for a break in the weather to give it a go.

As said above a good horse hair brush will do for that general brush to keep it looking tip top i just rinse mine with the hose then dry it with a soft MF Drying towel especially around the bottom.
