Hiya Everyone !

Very pleased to say I have managed to kick my diesel addiction and get back to the proper stuff !

Just picked up Z4 2.5 a week or so ago and remembered why diesels are such a crime against proper motoring ! + also completely fell for black and cream leather :D

I'm a bit of a novice to all this so not sure if the pic below will actually be below !

All i'm holding out for now is some of the alleged sun were supposed to get in this country so i can get the roof down ! only snow and rain so far :(

While i'm here though a good chance as any to pick the many forum minds. The Z i've got seems pretty standard ! Are there any good worthwhile mod's for them both performance and looks ????

Cheers All

Steveo

Welcome

nice looking car :D

Stubby antenna is a good one to start with!

Sun at this time of year is a tall order....

Where's the best place to get the stubby from ???

I need to new gear knob as well as the current one is a bit worn form use .

Is there any particualry good retailer to get this stuff from which you guys would reccommend or do you go for genuine BMW parts

Cheers

Steveo

Mangowalk on Ebay is the best place to get them from. If you want to save cash, negotiate on postage and get a few, then flog them on here... they always go really quickly.

Welcome on board steveo

Nice looking car. Roof should be down until the outside temp drops below 10c (or 5c if you have heated seats)

welcome steveo- stunning car- I have just bought and fitted the zhp gear knob from leatherz. fantastic product and well worth the money!!!!!

greetings and salutations!

absolutely brilliant combo... i'm admitedly a bit envious of the black/cream combo. it must be stunning. others have mentioned the stubby and ZHP knob (i still need to order the latter). another frugal "detail" i like is the the door plug... a small color-matched coverlet that helps conceal the key hole on the driver door.

you can oder them at bumperplugs.com. or you can make your own... black is an easy color to mask.

i'd also suggest the sun visor airbag sticker delete, but you lucky gents don't have that tacky tack-on to begin with.

cheers.

Welcome Black with cream leather nice combo

As above a Mangowalk stubby is a must

Cannot tell from your pic but if you have the orange side repeaters a clear set is an easy mod buy the parts from the stealers but use origonal badge

Cheers for the welcomes and hints & tips everyone !

Any serious mod's will definitely be on hold for a while after having to change the rubber on all 4 corners !

Some sod left / dropped nails on the road :headbang:

A big thanks to whoever wrote the thread on getting rid of the run flats though ... the difference is staggering

It's like a whole new car ! Starts to make me think why they ever fitted them in the first place ...

Nice one

Steveo

Steveo i have the runflats and don't find them too bad. What problems did you have with them?

Hiya mate !

It's not so much of a problem as such , when you have driven on both it amazing how the car is transformed when you ditch the RTF's.

With the change the ride is much better, less harsh over the smallest piece of gravel, less fidgety when pushed and sticks in the corners soooo much more,! it's a much more planted ride and because of this i've found it's given me much more confidence to stick it in the bends harder ... But as with all these things i guess it boils down to perosnal preference ... :D

I've chucked on a set of Bridgestone Pontenza's and will definitely not being going back to RTF's. !!!
