Did a scan this morning and this came up on the z4.
It's a 2006 2.0l I sport.
Any idea what it actually means..?
Cheers

OK read the code it's stating drivers window finger trap inoperable.
I have been having issues with drivers window recently..
It goes down no issue, but is hesitant to raise.
Tried a window reset, but that didn't work..
Any thoughts

Yes, the part of the GM5 that controls the anti-trap has failed.

Need to take the GM5 Module out from above the fuse board behind the glovebox to check what model of GM5 you have, there are 2 types. Then either replace with a good used one or send yours off to Mervyn in Harrogate at Autoelectron for repair. The usual problem with them are the window relays or central locking that he replaces so worth checking with him if he also repairs the window trap components before sending it off. The modules are plug and play so no coding required for them to work.

Three times I've asked him questions on his eBay site and he has never replied!
So you're best off phoning him I reckon.
