Glove box light not lighting

I noticed this week that my glove box light had blown. So I replaced the bulb only to find it still doesn’t work. So then double checked the old bulb and it hadn’t blown. I've checked fuses 5 and 8 thinking it could be one of them as the lighter stopped working a while ago which turned out to be fuse 5 which I replaced. So anyone got any ideas?
 
I seem to have read somewhere on the site that some models generally American did'nt come with the glove box light. Those who have got it, it's right on the front top left corner. You cant see it unless you put you head near the footwell, and look up.
 
Yes, it is there and it works for me. Only see it when the car is parked in the garage and I open it up.
