Glove box damper

Hello all,

My glovebox damper is broken so looking to buy a replacement. I know I need part 51168224806 (no.5 in diagram) but I can't see that it includes the 'pin' that also seems to have broken. The pin seems to be used to keep the damper and the clip (part 51167112135 no. 11 in the diagram) attached.

Would anyone know if either part includes the 'pin' or whether there is another part I need to order?

I’d think you could reuse the pin, but it’s 51161828956 in case you want to replace it. Just undo the clip and use pliers to help the pin out.

Ah thanks, I thought the pin was broken but can now see it isn't so should be re-usable

Do you happen to now how to undo the clip? I haven't really got as far as to how the heck I am actually going to get the broken piece off and replace damper

Just by fingers pinch the clip and pull upwards. The plastic parts can be fragile by now.
