Getting the CDV removed Tuesday

Based on the opinion of The Forum I've got the ///M booked in with Autotech Performance in Telford tomorrow morning to get the CDV removed which will hopefully stop me ricocheting around rural Shropshire quite so badly

I'll report back!

Also I'm now an official member as the stubby has arrived and been fitted

Will be getting my exhaust and short shift kit installed in a few days so i'll have them remove the CDV too. Might as well get them all done in one go. Will be keeping the stock aerial though. I kind of like the RC car look.

By the way, Sepang Bronze looks very good.

Yes let us know, the differences are quoted as being less noticable on the ///M so be interesting to see what you think.

Are you fitting a blank or just removing the original?

I know of nobody that has had the CDV removed ever wanted it replaced.

I'd be interested in getting this done. Are there any drawbacks of removing the CDV people are aware of? If not, why the hell do they put it there in the first place?

I guess you should replace if you want to play it safe and not mess with your warranty and remove entirely if you dont have any warranty left or dont want to purchase a modified one. I'll be fully removing mine as i'm not under any warranty.

I put in the modified CDV as it ensures that the pipe is not under any strain. £50 or so for the modified one.

I've experienced that a lot, I was getting worried about the state of the clutch.

from what i know you can just take the CDV out and take the insert out, put it back on. done.

i keep meaning to do mine but never get round to it for some reason

And me, but it doesn't say anything about the 2.0 CDV on that site, presumably as they don't have 2.0's in the states. Has anyone done the CDV delete to the baby Z?

I would be surprised if they didnt have one for the 2.0, have a look on www.realoem.com see if you can see the CDV listed.

Note if you DIY you still will need to bleed the clutch like you would bleed the brakes.
