Hi folks, i have a set of Genuine BMW timing tools for the S54 that I'm willing to hire out to forum members for a small rental fee.
Having owned many M3s and more recently Z4Ms, I've done many vanos rebuilds and valve clearance checks over the years. From the outset I bought these tools from BMW as I wouldn't trust any of the aftermarket kits on such a highly strung engine.
You'll notice the E46 M3 crank locking pin has been modified for use with the Z4M as the front panel obstructs the longer e46 m3 Crank locking pin (the Z4M Crank locking pin is discontinued). It was simply shortened and a nut welded to help with removal from the vibration dampener.
Happy to support/advise/rebuild vanos units for forum members plus there are many online DIY guides (beisan systems is great reference point).
