Geeting Rid of the RFT Tires

I want to switch from the original RFT tires to "normal" rubber. What do I have to know? Does the tire pressure warning circuit still work? I assume the rims work with non-RFT tires?
Does anyone know what BMW's share the same offset, bolt pattern, and size, so that I might find a used spare donut tire from a salvage yard?
I have an '03 Z4 3.0 with the sport pkg and 18" wheels

The rims will still work and the tire pressure monitoring system will as well. I relied on TireRack's recommends when I bought winter rims so I never have researched the rim specs.

I did build myself a mobility kit of sorts and LeatherZ sells a nice tool/small jack kit.

sail38, welcome to the forum...
AlanL is correct you will have no problems with the TP system or mounting non RF's on your rims.
I also went the mobility kit route and that is much easier that messing with a spare tire. I have been driving Z4's as a daily drive since 2003 and have only had 2 flats and both of those were slow leaks caused by nails. In both cases I only need to add air pressure to the tire using my 12 volt compressor until I had time to deal properly with the problem.

Concur with the above and i am on my second set of Falken FK 452's, they work awesome on this car..
