Hi Guys
I picked my car up from the dealership on Saturday and thus far have done 440kms'
I have picked up a slight issue-
-upon disengaging the clutch especially in 1st gear there is a slight vibration on the pedal and a clunk/ rattle.
-this is also evident when changing from 1st to 2nd.
-imagine this coming to a traffic stop gearging to 1st then engaging the clutch to go to neutral once u relaese the clutch, u get the clunk.
I took it by the dealership for a technician to have a look at his diagnosis-
-its transmission backlash, a common issue on the S54 engined M cars.
He says its nothing to worry about.
As the car is brandnew u can imagine that I am less than pleased with this issue.
Any help would be appreciated- as I am in South Africa our cars come standard with 100 000 km/ 5yr maintenance contract and warranty.
