Had posted under "problems" but no joy so hopefully someone may see it here.
The gear selector has a few orange lights indicating which gear you have selected. It seems when I select reverse I have an intermittent issue where the indicator light flickers.
Moving the selector around sometimes cures the problem but not always. So before I start stripping most of centre console and gear selector to pieces can anyone offer any constructive advice or any diagrams or instructions to help resolve the problem.
I'm assuming it must be a microswitch but don't know if its located within the selector mechanism itself or the gearbox.

Oh and it’s a 2010 3.0i SE so six speed auto box.
