I have never been satisfied with the E85 gear change , nothing new there. I fitted the weighted knob and it was better for sure but just a bit short in the throw.
I decided to adjust it to the right length based on looks and feel all imo of course. Ended up cutting off the original post and making a bespoke new one about 25mm longer. More effort than I thought but meant I wasn't crawling underneath and messing around. Here are the results.
