Gaptech roof control hood + problem

Hi all,

I have fitted the gaptech roof module and it works and is pro, but the one press open and close doesnt seem to work as it should.

It opens and closes fine from the remote control, but when I press the button from inside the car it opens the windows then it sits there with the button flashing. I then need to press and hold the button to get the roof to open and vice versa when I close it.

I have tried the window reset but it hasnt made a difference.

I soldered the connections with a gas soldering iron, so I know its not a dodgy connection.

any ideas?

You could be holding the button too long on the first press in which case it reverts to normal operation.
Press it only for a second.

check the ChocBlock, think its the green wire

You do have the combined module I assume with the One Touch ...

I had a problem with mine when I first fitted in a couple of weeks ago, but mine was the opposite way round. One touch worked fine off the buttons, but remote operation didn't work at all. Thought that it was a dodgy connection as I didn't solder them (wish I had though) but used the supplied scotchloks.

I took it to be soldered by an auto electrician, and we found that it wasn't just with the scotchloks but there was also a problem with the wiring to the smaller of the two black connectors into the back of the console. Replaced that and hey presto, everything was fully working.... could definitely be worth checking loose wires in the existing set-up too.......

My pump is running nicely thank you very much so it was washing day yesterday. Also the weather was too bad for helicopters in the air 8)

** Update **

No rain roof down GO (didnt last that long before it started hail stoning though wtf)

ok the 0.5 press didnt make any difference, so this weekend I will check out the connections on the green wire and make sure nothing else is loose.

If does look like the buttons inside the car are working if the gaptech isnt there so something not quite right.

remote up/down is still working fine though.

definately + system that I ordered, will check it says that when i check the wires out.

If the remote function is working but the one touch isn't then I'd check the yellow and green wires.
