Don't fancy a soft top - too easy to cut into and steal from. That does look like a temporary roof though (no back window!) so maybe there's still hope.

Other sites talk of 3, 4 and 6 cylinder engines - I doubt any news site really knows.

That's very rare a soft top getting cut into. I remember reading not a single person on this forum has ever heard of it happening.

Yeah I'd agree. It's not like a hard topped car isn't any easier to force your way into. Your more likely to get robbed for the keys.

Also loving the 4 pot comments as I'm sure when a focus rs or beedubs. Fiesta st pisses over most of us 4 pots will still be shit

Unfortunately one person here has. It was only a rental with all the extra coverage insurance stuff taken out, but it has still put me off.

If they want into the car they will get into the car whether it's a soft top or hard top.

More speculation coming out on this possible Z4 replacement.

Found this info from various sites.....

Possible Hybrid engines
911 rival
Entry price £70,000

2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol – 190, 245 and 270hp.
3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six with over 300hp.

Z5M could use a 425hp 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine as seen in the current M3 and M4.
A choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox is said to be available.

I could have waited but made the decision to go with a new, last of the Z4 35is with as many toys as possible.
