Fusion Design Package Rare? Purchase alone?

How rare is this interior option? I have never seen this on a 35is but would love to have it in mine.

Is anyone aware if the center console peices etc can be purchased from anywhere?
The cream door cards and arm rest are not hard to find, its the wood bits around the gear stick and dash, and that long sweeping gold peice along the dash

Thanks!

Looks beautiful on the pictured vehicle, not too sure how it would look in a fiery orange car though! Have you tried the realoem website, you might find the panels there..

I did see this package on a car for sale only recently - was at a BMW dealer. The car was also on sparkling brown paint as featured in the brochure and also the picture posted. It was a £1,250 option from new so maybe that's a reason why it's not seen often - personally I love the ivory white leather but not so keen on the wood trim, seems a big incongruous on a modern sports car.

Looking again agreed, the pure white design package seems gorgeous too!

Woods an unusual choice these days, I like the look in my car against the tan interior but I think it's a darker finish than the op's pic?

These parts are extremely expensive to buy from BMW with the centre console around the gearstick being around £400 alone!
See if you can pick up a second hand set and either have them hydro dipped or vinyl wrapped, it would be a lot cheaper.
Member called The Dude was selling a set a while ago.

I wouldn't say wood looks out of place. Look at the current Rolls Royce and Bentley, which feature some of the most spectacular interiors. Wood, leather, aluminum, etc.

As they say, good taste and classic never goes out of style :D

Personally, I like the black wood (an option) over the aluminum trim.

Nice. The black leather's a bit shiny and an all-black wheel might look better, but it's a good interior, isn't it?

Mind you, it does have some suprises: a third pedal and ... is that a cup holder? :o

I'd pay money not to have a retirement-brown interior with plastic wood effect panelling

Do some research & you will see its real wood :poke:

Depends on your definition of real wood.

It's a tiny slither of wood encased in a plastic trim piece. They moved to cheapo veneer with the E46 and haven't looked back since

Had mine skinned in CF, it wasn't cheap but I prefer it to wood trim, that was something my Grandad had in his Wolsey 6 and Princesses!

This wood is a very dark wood, as you can see by the wood trim by the door handle. (The leather is shiny as I'd just put Maguire's leather conditioner on.) I spoke with a Bentley rep last year at Pebble Beach regarding their stunning concept car Bentley had on display. It featured lots of wood on the dash and on the door panels. Bentley's position is their clients appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of wood trim which is why the feature it so prominently. That which is beautiful never goes out of style, IMO, which is why some of, if not the very nicest interiors in the car world feature wood trim.
