Funny noise any ideas!

yesterday i noticed a quiet whistle when driving. today i noticed it got slightly more noticable...

Sounds very similar to an old school stove-top kettle boiling. Also it matches the revs..louder the higher the revs

havent checked under the bonnet as im working all weekend now, and the only thing i found on this forum was soundgenerator which my 2.5L hasnt got.

any ideas?

Had similar on our e46 -turned out to be a leaf in the vent :roll:

I have an aftermarket stereo and its a b%#€$ to get in and out so il let it work its own way out if its a leaf

if its a kettle then theres no excuse not to have a cuppa
