Full respray average cost?

Was thinking about getting someone to put a machine polish on the car for this summer, but when I spoke to valet company he recommend maybe a touch up in certain placing and blend it in with the rest of the bodywork. Which I reckon will be a couple hundred of ££'s.

But am sure someone has had experience of a full respray who can give me an idea of a price range?

Thanks in advance.

Was it a valet company or a detailer. I would get a second opinion.

Body shop wanted to charge my £100 to fill and spray over a small dent on my door which a PDR man removed for a tenner.

To me respray would be last resort, amazing what a true detailer can do.

This was a valet company who looked at the car.
This maybe a stupid question but when you say detailer do you mean paint/body shop?

A detailer is somebody who can restore paint using polishing techniques along with other activities to improve a car, where as a valeter is really only a cleaner.

Have a look at some of these, you will get the idea of what can be done at a tenth of the cost of a respray

Yeah as mentioned a full re spray is a little bit extreme and should be a last resort. A top quality detailer should put most of the paint defects straight. Perhaps stuff like stone chips and deep scratches won't be rectified by a detailer but these will be filled and sealed and should look a million times better at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for the advise everyone. Al be honest I thought £2000 tops for a respray which I would of payed but £3000-£4000 think it's a little of my league.

Just want my car looking fresh, I have come to realise black is the worst colour to own after wanting one most of my driving career.
Will look into the detailing path as a posed to valet

Thanks

Hey Craig - we'll have a word about detailing on Sunday - been looking at this for a while now and there are a quite a few Youtube vids which explain a lot.

I'm sure they'll be some quality detailers in the North East. Swiftly has also done some work on his paint with a polisher so I'm sure it'll be worth a word with him as well.

See you Sunday

:driving:

That's cheap......obviously not London or Main Dealer price. :)
