Full Respray - Advice

This is a very interesting topic. Not to hijack your thread OP, in my instance I like the silver grey but I really do want to experiment with other colours in the future be it sticking with other BMW factory colour such as Sepang Bronze or Tiefgruen Metallic or something completely different. I am hoping to keep the car for the long haul so as long as you document it with all the necessary proofs I see no reason why it would be a problem?

In terms of the cost full respray did you say it is £3k for the full respray?? For some reason I thought it would be much more than that.

I think you should gauge your decision by asking forum members whether or not they would be willing to part with £13k for a low mileage colour changed car? Based on the results could determine whether or not it's a good decision or not.
Whatever you decide, I hope 100% its the correct decision for you, and that your completely happy with it.

I paid £2600 for my respray - same colour so easier to do I guess. Took 5 months over the winter as a side project for this bodyshop.
Car owes me way more than the current value but as its a keeper I dont mind. I am sure at some point it will catch up and exceed but thats not he be all and end all!! Current value I would say having spent £2600 its put about £1k on what I could achieve I guess.

Yep £3k for body parts being removed and sprayed with 2 pack paint. I’ve checked around and this bodyshop is very well regarded and Volvo and BMW dealers in the area in fact send cars there for work.

I didn’t realise the engine stamp actually has Black Sapphire listed on it which is a shame.

I’m torn.
