Full lock reversing right - jolt / thud / noise.

As per the title, a problem developed on 01/01/2016.

When at full lock to the right, in reverse, every so often there's whats best describes as a knock / thud / twang noise with the accompanying sensation coming from the drivers side. I pulled the wheel off, nothing rubbing / catching, not had any knocks on that side of the car etc.

It's been into a BMW specialist al day today, they've managed to replicate the noise twice, checked over the suspension and everything is tight, fitted, not broken....... so what do I do now?

Just ti re-iterate it ONLY occurs on full lock to the right when reversing. if reversing full lock left it's absolutely fine, and when driving / travelling forward it drives totally normally, no knocks, noises or anything?

Any thoughts?

Now I have heard about this before on other cars but with hydraulic steering rather than electric and it turn out to be something to do with the pump at full lock and is perfectly normal.
If a BMW specialist has been all over it then it doesnt seem like anything is going to fail imminently. I would drive it for a few more weeks and see whether it gets any worse.
Just had another thought, does it do it when car is stationary ie in nuetral with engine running and on full lock to right. Then put in reverse at stationary and does it do it. If yes then to me it would imply something other than steering

My z4 does it. It's just the camber and the angle of the wheel.
The tyre skips on the road.
To make it happen every time, full lock it in reverse on a slight incline in the wet.
Mine does it every time if I park at the gym and I reverse out on full lock.

Get a mate to drive it and you watch the wheel.
